The Holdsworth Galleries were established in 1969 by Gisella Scheinberg and continued to operate in the same premises in Woollahra until 1996 when the business was sold. Scheinberg, Gisella, 1921-

Art dealer. Gisella Scheinberg was born in Hungary in 1921 and came to Australia as a Jewish refugee in 1948. She founded the Holdsworth Galleries in Woollahra, Sydney, in 1969, and ran it successfully for 28 years.
